A: Online shipping is as convenient as ever! Just pack them with the copy of your Paypal Confirmation Page in any box or envelope, seal with tape and use either the Post Office's or UPS's online shipping service. SIMPLE!
You can print out and pay for a USPS shipping label online right now... and then schedule a pick-up from your home or office online. Just go to the Click-N-Ship® site https://sss-web.usps.com/cns/landing.do and once you've completed your label, simply click on the Carrier Pickup link to request next day pickup. Of course, you may drop off your package at your local Post Office or hand it to your delivery carrier, too. Whichever works best for you.
The same kind of services are available from UPS. Just go online, register on their site, and create and pay for your shipping labels. (Registration is a little more involved with UPS than with the Post Office.) Click to this site: http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/index.jsx . Then click on the Quick Link for Create a Shipment. Register … and then follow the directions including paying by credit/debit card.
A: Paypal is the easiest and fastest way to pay. But if you'd prefer to pay by check, click here. Note: Orders for bronzing items other than baby shoes must be paid by Paypal.
A: We cannot process felt, velvet or fur shoes. And we cannot process knitted, crocheted, lace-trimmed, terry shoes or slippers. These loose or soft materials simply don't hold their shape well during plating and tend to become stretched or misshapen.
A: These now make up a large portion of our business and they look terrific! The antique bronze finish looks and processes best on these shoes.
A: Yes. However, due to the material christening slippers are made of, occasionally when they are bronzed, they can appear somewhat stretched out. Also, on these slippers with frilly lace, the lace must be pressed down against the body of the slippers and may not be completely uniform around the slippers. Due to these issues, christening slippers cannot be covered under our Satisfaction Guarantee.
A: Baby shoe bronzing takes 6-8 weeks. Bronzing other items takes 10-12 weeks. Be sure to add time for shipping each way. We ship most orders back by insured UPS.
A: We apologize but we made the decision quite some time ago that rushing orders through our process led to less-than-acceptable quality...so we stopped accepting rush orders. We know that you might need this order for an occasion, but ask that you understand this policy and allow us to take the proper amount of time to make sure to get it right for you. In the event this is for an occasion, you might want to simply give the recipient a card noting something very special is on its way to them...and it will be worth the wait.
A: Yes. We close our factory for 2 weeks each summer (usually the last week of June and first week of July) for employee vacations. We also close each year around December 17 until January 6 for our holiday shutdown. So please note these dates...as if you send an order in any time before these, the turnaround time for your bronzing will be delayed while we're closed.
A: Yes. We can make the finish look beautiful but we cannot reshape them. Use the same pricing as for a new bronzing order.
A: No. The shoes do NOT have to match. Any 2 shoes in the size range will be priced as listed. Please note "mismatched shoes" when you send them in for bronzing.
A: Just wipe them occasionally with a soft dry cloth. Never use polish or cleaners which will cut through the protective lacquer coating that preserves the finish.
A: Sorry, but we must tie the laces on all shoes so they won't break off during processing. All shoes are tied the same way where the bows lie to the sides of the shoes.
A: Since most buttons are so old, we cannot replace them. But for missing shoe laces, we will automatically replace them.
A: Yes...but they MUST be accompanied with a note stating "Leave shoes with no laces." Otherwise, if shoes are sent in without laces, we will automatically add laces to them before bronzing.
A: Even though we're not in your state and this IS an Internet order, we still need to collect and remit sales tax in most states because of our retail activity in those states.
A: Unfortunately, due to the lack of reasonably-priced and RELIABLE international shippers, we cannot process orders and send them to international destinations. Sorry. If you have friends or family in the States, you can send your keepsakes to them and have them arrange for the bronzing services. If you live in ALASKA or HAWAII, we CAN ship to you. For each order, please include a check for $11.00 payable to American Bronzing when you send in your items. This is for USPS Certified shipping/handling to either of these destinations.
